Screw Compressors: Industrial Machines for Heavy-Duty Use

Using two rotating screws to drive air into a smaller area, screw compressors are one exceptionally popular choice for air compressors. Great for commercial and industrial uses, these types of compressors come in sizes for nearly any requirement. Not only do they come with varying engine sizes, but they also offer different pressures (psi). One aspect that makes screw compressors especially fit for industrial use is their ability to operate continuously without heating up or breaking down. Because this design of compressor is cooled from the inside, the internal parts are not subject to extreme heat like other designs. For this reason, screw compressors can be run for longer periods of time without causing damage from temperature extremes.

Screw compressors are also especially apt for industrial use because they are easy to use. Known for their simplicity, these compressors are favored for use in heavy-duty environments because it does not take a significant amount of training to learn how to use them. Plus, this type of compressor is great for use with pneumatic tools, and it can be taken to different job sites if needed (depending on the size). Because they are offered in a variety of capacities and powers, it’s easy to find screw compressors that are perfectly in tune with your needs.
