Dew Point Sensors for Compressed Air

Dew point is the temperature at which the moisture in a gas begins to form condensation. Left unchecked, condensation can lead to mold, corrosion, and excess moisture that damages equipment or impacts downstream processes or product quality. Air compressors, cleanrooms, and other pressurized gas applications are vulnerable to the negative effects of condensation, so monitoring gas temperatures with a dew point sensor is critical.

Dew point sensors can also help reduce energy costs. Monitoring moisture levels in compressed air makes it possible to run dryers as needed instead of continually.

At Compressed Air Systems we supply high-quality, reliable dew point sensors for customers in a variety of industries including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, manufacturing and machining, electronics, aerospace, and others. FA 500 Dew Point Sensor

FA 500 Dew Point Sensor

The FA500 dew point measuring tool features an integrated display and alarm relay for use with adsorption, membrane, and refrigeration dryers. It is extremely stable in the long term with a quick adaptation time, providing pressure-tight capabilities up to 7251 psi. An integrated keypad makes it easy to operate and check data, and the unit is also compatible with Modbus-RTU output.

Additional features include:

  • Atmospheric dew point in ºFtd.atm.
  • Degree of humidity in g/m3.
  • Moisture content V/V in ppmV/V.
  • Pressure dew point in ºFtd.
  • Relative humidity percentage.
  • Temperature in ºF.
  • Water vapor particle pressure in hPa.
FA 510/515 Dew Point Sensors

FA 510/515 Dew Point Sensors

The FA 510/515 provides accurate dew point measurement in compressed air and gases after the refrigeration, membrane, and adsorption dryers. It can also be used to detect the moisture/dew point values in argon, nitrogen, oxygen, and other gases. A new Modbus-RTU interface offers a higher resolution of the sensor signal, along with improved evaluation electronics and on-site sensor diagnosis.

FA550 Dew Point Sensor

The FA 550 dew point sensor is ideal for taking outdoor dew point measurements, particularly in extreme industrial environments. The robust die-cast aluminum housing is waterproof and features an alarm relay with adjustable limit value buttons (max 60 VDC, 0.5A).

Typical applications include dew point measurement in compressed air after membrane, refrigeration, and adsorption dryers, as well as residual moisture and dew point measurements. The 4…20 mA analog output provides accurate dew point and temperature readings with quick adaptation time, long-term stability, and pressure resistance up to 7251 psi.

FA550 Dew Point Sensor

The new Modbus-RTU interface displays accurate readings of the following parameters:

  • Absolute humidity in g/m3.
  • Atmospheric dew point in º Ctd.atm.
  • Degree of humidity in g/kg.
  • Moisture content V/V in ppmV/V.
  • Partial vapor pressure in hPa.
  • Pressure dew point in º Ctd.
  • Relative humidity percentage.
  • Temperature in º C.

DP 500/510 Mobile Dew Point Meters With Data Logger

DP 500/510 Mobile Dew Point Meters With Data Logger

The DP 500/510 offers quick response time and includes a USB port to easily transfer data from the unit to a computer for analysis and reporting. The 3.5 in. graphic display features an easy-to-operate touch screen, and the integrated data logger stores precise measured dew point values down to -112 ºF. An additional input is available exclusively on the DP 510 model for third-party sensors. Applications include the examination of adsorption, membrane, and refrigeration dryers in compressed air systems.
