Step 1: Position the POGO

The operator should position the Pogo perpendicular to the railcar.

Step 2: Advance the POGO

Advance the Pogo forward until the Hex-3 bit is fully engaged into the capstan.

Step 3: Set rotation direction of drive shaft.

Firmly hold both railcar opener’s handles and fully depress throttle, release throttle valve as soon as railcar gate reaches the end of its track

Step 4: Disengage capstan drive

Roll railcar opener away from railcar to disengage capstan drive adapter from railcar capstan socket.

Step 5: Open Hopper Gates

Gates open and product comes out of the railcar.

Step 1: Position the POGO

The operator should position the Pogo perpendicular to the railcar.

Step 2: Advance the POGO

Push the POGO forward and line up the Hex-3 bit then continue to push forward until bit is fully engaged into the capstan.

Step 3: Set rotation direction of drive shaft to open or close

Firmly hold both railcar opener’s handles and fully depress throttle, release throttle valve as soon as railcar gate reaches the end of its track. Repeat steps to close.

Step 4: Disengage capstan drive

Move railcar opener away from railcar to disengage capstan drive adapter from railcar capstan socket.

Step 5: Open Hopper Gates

Gates open and product comes out of the railcar.

For railcars with rolling capstans, move the lever to rotate the wheels 90 degrees.

Advance the POGO forward until the Hex-3 bit is fully engaged into the capstan.

Firmly hold both railcar opener’s handles and fully depress throttle, release throttle valve as soon as railcar gate reaches the end of its track
